Cunningham State Falls

On Monday BJ stayed home. He couldn't sleep all night so he slept most of the morning. We decided after Max's nap we would go to CSF. It was a perfect day, not too humid and not too hot. We opted for the .5 mile hike. We are really out of shape and each of us had a child attached to us. We got the base of the falls. It was so nice!! I would have loved going to the top, but with the kids it wasn't happening. So we walked across the rocks to a little pond that was formed from the falls. We let Max out of the back pack and play. He really liked it and has no fear. He walked right in. He even went to a deeper part. His feet started to sink in the mud and that scared him a little bit. He also tried the climb the rock. So BJ helped him and he got ontop of one of the rocks. He wanted to keep climbing but BJ brought him down. We walked back to where we parked which happened to be where the lake was. Max found a playset and was happy playing there. He didn't want to leave. He didn't even notice the other people swimming. We will take him back another time to swim. It was a great little trip. I really enjoy being in Frederick it seems like there are lots of things so close for us to be able to do. Here are a couple pics from the day.
