CAKE!!!!

So I saw this cake on the craft magazine blog. I had to try it!! I think I might make it again for my birthday.That is six layers of cake. And it was all so yummy!!!

Water Bed

Max did a first this week. He laid completely under water!! The water went over his ears and around his face, but his mouth,nose and eyes were not covered. So I was surprised. He kept snoring like he was sleeping so we called it his water bed.


We also went to see the house. This has become a weekly thing. Can you tell we are excited. The had windows in and some more 2x4's, the had the start of the shingles going up, the some pvc in the garage, starting on the porch, and I some of the ventilation inside!! We are getting closer. BJ says we are not going back for 2 weeks now. We will see. He is the one that wants to go out all the time.

We went down to see the scrappy girls this week. It is Carol's Birthday. Happy Birthday Carol!!! Lucie seems to like Blue as much as Max does. Blues doesn't mind her either. He actually was talking to carol when she would tell him not to lick her it was funny. Then Max would copy his sounds and that was funnier. We wanted a video but we didn't have one:(

Pumpkin Cannon

This past weekend we got some of of our good friends to come up to see us. The Christiansens and Wesleys met us in Thurmont to visit the pumpkin cannon and corn maze. We had a good time. I of course forgot the camera. So I only have the pictures from the Christiansens. Max and BJ shot out apples at a boat. For the rest of the night all Max could talk about was the boat. This year Max also walked the mazes instead of riding in the backpack. Lucie is too big for the Bjorn now so she has has moved onto the backpack.





We also found the bag of clothes that I thought was missing. So I have a bunch of 9 month clothing that Lucie didn't wear. So I am going to put her in every outfit that still fits so I can get a picture of her in it. I also went to a consignment shop and sold bunch of stuff. I bought some stuff for the kids with the money I got. I found this really cute cheetah outfit for Lucie so her she is walking the catwalk(with Daddy's help).

I taught my first nursery lesson. It went well. My son is crazy active though. My problem is there isn't much structure though. We have 10 kids. They split them. I was also told that before the new nursery leader was called there was no lesson. So I am trying to help our leader who has never even done anything like with some ideas. We will see what happens. That was our weekend. Here's to a good week!!!

Lollipop Guild

Yes by 9 this morning my two children had their first lollipops. So here are my two cute kids enjoying their lollipops.

House

Ok so I know this is the second time today, but this is just too cool not to share. We have the house!! We decided to take a drive out see the progress of the house. Last we heard about a week and half ago was they were putting in the footings. Hannah came the weekend they were going to start this so I thought it was going to be awhile. So when we went out we were not thinking we were going to see a house!! As I turned the corner to get on our street I saw it!! I told BJ look our house. He said, "No that isn't ours!" I said yes it is, it is!! So we pulled over did a little happy dance and I got out to take some pictures. I had to go up on the hill in our neighbors yard to get a good shot. It doesn't even give it justice. You can't see the land around it. It is going to be soo cool!! While I was out taking pictures BJ told Max that was our new house, he said, " Oh No it broke!!" BJ told him not to worry they will fix it. I can't believe it is actually ours!! We have been talking about it for so long. It is actually something tangible now!!

On the drive home I saw this lovely sunset in my rearview mirror. Oh how I am going to love being in West Virginia.( Did I just say that???)

Star Wars

The most that Max has seen of Stars Wars is from the lego computer and wii game. But whenever we go to the store if he see is it he yells for it. so friday afternoon I went to toys r us to get some balls for a toy. The first display we see when we walk in is Star Wars. So I bought two sets of figurnes. One for Max and one for Daddy. Max picked them out himself. Decided which one was for him and Daddy. He picked the one with the robot of course. So when Daddy didn't come home Friday ni
ght I let him open Daddy's set and we played Star Wars. He calls them guys. I told him which ones were good and bad. For some reason no matter who I was I died. He never died. What is up with that?!?!?! He played by himslef for at least 30min with his guys. So I seized the moment to snap some pictures. The lighting was horrible, but oh well.


Today I decided to try to get some pictures of Lucie and I. It took quit a few shots to get some good ones. Here you go!! So out of 35 pictures of Lucie and I. I like 2 of them.

Is He Ready??

So I have noticed that Max has not been wet in the mornings and after naps. So I have put him on the potty. He has gone. He has only done this twice now. I guess I am just noticing. So is he really ready to potty train?? He doesn't tell me when he goes. So if I start putting him on there and start making big deals and giving treats will he start telling me?? Or would all my efforts go to waste?? I am going to try today. We will go to the potty every hour or two and we will see what happens. We may just get him out of diapers and save us some money!! Oh how sweet would that be.

Our Weekend

It was a crazy one this weekend. It started on Friday morning. At 3:30am Max decided it was time to start the day. so we had breakfast by 5. We painted and played with play-dough at 9. we had lunch at 10:30 and we was down for a nap at 11!!! It was crazy. I was getting ready to cook dinner when I got from BJ. He was going to be home late. He didn't know how late. A water main broke at work and was dumping hot water all over the servers!!! Not good. So I asked for permission to order pizza and he was going to get dinner on the way home. So at 8 I made a call to see how much longer he was going to be. They got still getting everything take out. He finally got home at 11. The best news is he was going back on Saturday at 6:30!! So I got the kids to bed early friday night and I crashed too. The next day we were back at it. I was alone all day and it was crazy humid. So I wasn't about to take the both kids out. By the time i get out the door and both of them down the stairs I would saoking with sweat!! The best part of this day. BJ didn't get home til 11 again!!! He saved just about everything so far. He got back all the important data. My kids have not seen their Father to 2 days. I know there are a lot of you that have husbands and what not, but BJ has traveled once in all the time he has been at APL. It was an over night trip. Max was a baby. The kids missed him a lot. I did too. Sunday was a regular Sunday. We had stake conference. Max was sad when we left. He kept yelling church. I think he wanted to go to nursery. Max missed his daddy so much he didn't take nap and wanted to play with him all day.

This was an eye opening experience for me. I new I needed BJ with all of this. But I think I really do appericiate him. I need him. I need to see him. I really missed him and not being able to talk to him. We hope this doesn't happen again so we can have our daddy home ever night with us.

Play-Dough and a Pretty Dress

On Saturday night BJ made some homemade playdough. He made it in 4 different colors blue,pink,green, and purple. Max loved it. It didn't take long before the colors were all mixed together. BJ tried hard to keep them separte, but everytime BJ would make something Max would take it smash bacak up and mix it with his pile. We thought that he would play for maybe 5 minutes, well 1 1/2 hours later we got him down and gave him a bath.






On Sunday we put Lucie in her pretty fancy dress. So here are some pictures of her in it.

Happy Birthday

So I totally dropped the ball this year. Today is Paw Paw Mitchell's birthday. So to make up for it here is a little something we made for him. It is kind of hard to read, but I am working with a 2yr old and 8 month old. It says Happy Birthday Paw Paw!!!

The House

So today despite the tropical storm we made a trip to the new house. Max recognizes now and today he said "big house". So cool. We went out to meet our agent to go look at a model. It wasn't complete yet, but it was great to look around. Max just ran in circles!! He going to love the new house. I have to say it is the perfect house. It is all we have dreamed of. The kitchen is so nice, we will have three walls of cabinets an island with cabinets and a pantry!! So much space. I can't wait for our bathroom. We kind of picked out rooms for the kids. Max pointed to the one he wanted, but that wasn't our house so we will see if he changes his mind. It was all the just the perfect size of house. Not too big, but bigger the town house or this apartment. It was a little cool today and with the rain I dressed Lucie in pants. I put her in some overalls I got for Jade, I think she wore them last winter. Lucie is a bigger girl than Jade was. We also got Max some new shoes. He loves them, I guess because he picked them out. He likes to run in them. so here are the pictures of the weekend!!

Our Weekend

We have had a pretty good weekend. On Saturday we went to Hagerstown to check out the Mall. It was a nice one. It has the only Old Navy close to us and I think it is the biggest Old Navy I have been to. It also has a Target. Other than Frederick that will be the only target for me to shop at. I guess Walmart is going to be my new favorite store!! I look forward to going to the outlets though!! Sunday was pretty much the same as every Sunday. I was called to work in the nursery. We have about 10 kids that come. Our nursery leader is VERY new at it too. It was lots of fun. Next week we will be switching to 9am meeting. Why they switch in the middle of the year I do not know. Monday we have been pretty lazy today. Just lots of playing around inside. Max and I went Ollies. I have never been to one so I thought we could check it out. We got a white board, really big baseball, carpet spot cleaner, 5 books, and some flashcards. That is some random stuff?!?!? We also went to Walmart for Groceries. BJ beat the new Mario Baseball game we gotfor Max. And I got some pretty cool video of him playing with the kids. It has been a pretty good weekend.

Break Down

So we have discovered a little weakness of Lucie. She is addicted to popsicles. It is like there are crack or something. The minutes she sees one she goes crazy. She screams until she gets one. She really loves them. The boys love to chomp on ice and I have a feeling Lucie is going to also. We witnessed one of these breakdowns, so I tortured her a little longer to take some pictures. It is pretty funny.
